How Daily Supplements Transformed My Health: A Personal Story
I do want to mention I am not a doctor – this is my own experience I am sharing.
First of all, I want to give a little definition of the immune system: It is a powerful system in our body that works to defend against harmful invaders, such as pathogens and foreign substances. Its primary function is recognizing and eliminating these invaders, preventing infections, and maintaining overall health. This is a straightforward explanation. I am sure a doctor would tell you more about it if you ask.
So, I started taking daily vitamins as my body needed to heal itself from an accident. I was taking various vitamins to support the body’s healing. I also studied the effect of various vitamins so as to know what I was taking and regularly checked with a doctor doing blood tests to see what I needed. But I learned a lot during this period about what vitamins and minerals do. While I know, I have so much more to learn…
For example – there are periods whereby people tend to get sick – when winter comes along, there is one – and I dislike being ill – the feeling of it all. So I got pretty good at noticing when my body was fighting something very early on, and I would increase the necessary vitamins to support the immune system. It worked pretty well; I could get rid of things within hours that way. I have fought off colds and the flu very quickly, which is super handy.
First of all, I take 5,000 Mg of vitamin C daily to support my immune system constantly. As it is a soluble vitamin, I do not take it all at once—I space it out throughout the day. You need to know that when it is a soluble vitamin, your body gets rid of it quite easily, so the little recommended dosages per day do not cut it…
I also take zinc every day – twice at lunch and dinner. Great for the immune system.
D3—This one is really effective at fighting off sickness and works wonders for the immune system. I take 15,000 IU of D3 daily. Now, this figure sounds high, but it is not really. 100 IU of D3 is equivalent to 25 micrograms (mcg), which is really small! And when I feel I am getting something, I take the 15,000 IU and 5,000 every hour until I feel it is gone.
By doing this, I rarely get sick. I act very fast when I feel something starting, and I handle it within hours, literally. And honestly, I wish this to be for everyone.
I will tell you a little story: when my husband got Covid, we were in quarantine, of course, and I was a little worried as I was with him 24 hours a day, sleeping in the same bed, and I was wondering what to do as I was not interested in getting it at all! So, I started my battle… Every hour literally, I took 1000 MG Vit C, or 10 000 D3, or 10 000 Vit A, or Zinc, or superfood, pro-biotics, garlic supplement, or other immune-supporting products I have. I was not sick, but I felt my body was slightly fighting it, so I supported it every hour literally, and I felt after three days I had won. I tested myself, and I did not have COVID. This really proved that you can support your immune system and not get sick. That became really obvious to me.
But I found that taking these vitamins also helped me in various ways: Before I was 35, I would get holes in my teeth regularly when I took vitamin C daily. This was very annoying, as I do not like the dentist very much. And since I take 5-6000 vitamin C every day, I have never had a hole in my teeth—for 16 years now. I am not kidding—it is really directly related.
I do not have infections, as the immune system keeps this in check. Again, if I feel something is off, I increase the vitamins that support the immune system.
I recently had a friend I work with that I noticed was coughing constantly. He does not take vitamins generally; he is in his mid-30s. Nice person to work with, actually. But this cough would not go away, so he went to the doctor and got a chest scan to find the correct way to handle it. I could see it was rather unpleasant for him. He had it for two months, and he still coughed. So, while he was waiting for his scan results, which would take two weeks, I just gave him a box of vitamin C and D3. I told him to take 2,000 Mg C in the morning, 2,000 in the afternoon, and 1,000 with dinner. 15,000 IU D3 in the morning and 15,000 D3 in the evening. At least that would help him while he was waiting for the result and the doctor helping him there. But it handled the cough – it was gone in 5 days! He obviously will still make sure all is fine with his doctor.
You know, I really noticed how constantly maintaining and supporting your immune system avoids situations. I have done so daily for over 15 years and have had great results, and I just want everyone to know that they can do this for themselves. It is really simple and not that hard. Vitamins are essential for our bodies to function.
